ITINERARY

DAY 1

  • Meet your tour leader in Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) and head toward the Dolomites mountains, which form part of the Southern Alps.

  • After lunch, you'll head to a special tour and tasting at the Ferrari winery, which is known for its sparkling wines.
  • Continue to the Val Badia, the valley of the Gran Ega river, and settle into your hotel.

DAY 2

  • After breakfast in your hotel, venture to the heart of the Dolomites, where you'll enjoy lunch in a stunning location and taste local cheeses from the region.
  • For those who are feeling adventurous, hike the Ferrate (not included, but can be arranged as part of the tour for an additional cost).
  • The evening is free for you to leisurely head back to the hotel and enjoy dinner on your own.

DAY 3

  • After breakfast, head to the town of Bolzano for a private guided tour of the historic center, including the exhibit of Ötzi the Iceman at the archaeological museum.
  • Have lunch in a local restaurant then venture back to the hotel with a stop in the picturesque village of Ortisei.
  • Back at the hotel, enjoy the spa and dinner at your leisure.

DAY 4

  • After breakfast at the hotel, you'll visit the posh mountain resort town of Cortina, the natural beauty of Lake Braies, and the village of San Candido.
  • Feast on lunch featuring regional specialties, and then return to the hotel for free time in the evening.

DAY 5

  • This day is all about prosecco. The tour will conclude as it began – with Italian bubbly!
  • After breakfast you'll head to to the charming town of Asolo, where you will stay for the last night of your trip.
  • On the way to Asolo, make a stop at a winery in the panoramic Valdobbiadene region (home to Italy's famed prosecco) for a tour, tasting, and lunch.
  • If time allows, as you travel down La Strada del Prosecco ("Prosecco Road") you'll visit the villages of Santo Stefano and Follina, home to a breathtaking 12th-century abbey.
  • Settle in your hotel in or near Asolo, and enjoy the final evening at your leisure.

DAY 6

  • After breakfast, travel to Treviso, where you'll take in the stunning canal views and have your final lunch with the group.
  • Return to Venice and bid arrivederci to Italy.
